Dog Photoshoots Near Me | Pet Photoshoots - David Lowerson Photography

Thank you for your interest in a dog photoshoot with David Lowerson.

Most dog lovers tell me that they have loads of photos of their dog on their phone and there’s no doubt a phone or digital camera is a handy device for capturing those off the cuff shots of your dog doing something silly like sleeping upside down or paddling in the sea.

But be honest, how much time do you really spend scrolling through the dozens and dozens of phone photos to find a picture and then forget about it?

And how many times do you look at your furry friend and wish you could capture perfectly the expression of love and devotion on his face for all time? You can do this and more with a professional photograph of your dog.

It‘s a sad fact of life that our beloved pets have a much shorter lifespan than us and, as much as I hate to say it, he won’t be here forever and afterwards what you’ll have left is happy memories of a much-loved dog.

Sure, you’ll have your smartphone pictures but over time these will become lost amongst all the others and may even, horror of horrors, get accidentally deleted.

If you’d like to capture your dog’s personality perfectly in print, why not get in touch to book a dog photography session? Your best friend (and you) deserve it.

Highly recommend. A professional photoshoot that takes you into another world.

David makes the process fun, enjoyable and puts you at ease.

Clients often have several questions before booking a dog photoshoot to ensure they get the best possible results. In this introduction, I want to share with you the most common questions clients ask me about my dog photoshoots.

Clients may ask about having their dog on a lead, what if it rains on the day of the shoot, what if their dog is nervous, and how to prepare their furry friend for the photoshoot. They may also want to know how the final photos will be delivered.

As a photographer, it’s important to be able to answer these questions and provide guidance to clients to help them feel comfortable and confident in booking me.

Does My Dog Need To Be Off The Lead?

Not if you don’t want them to be, I have editing tools which helps me to remove leads from the picture during the final editing process.

Does My Dog Need To be Trained?

No, please don’t worry if your dog doesn’t have the best recall or attention span. My experience allows me to get the best picture from the most reluctant of dogs, but you will need to bring an adequate lead to prevent them from running off.

I Have 2 Dogs, Can They Both Be In The Photoshoot?

Yes, I have photographed up to 5 dogs in one particular session. However, an extra pair of hands will be needed to ensure your dogs are safe and under control, so please ask someone to attend the photoshoot with you.

My Dog Is Really Nervous In Unfamiliar Surroundings Or New people – Will This Be A Problem For You?

I have photographed dogs with very different personalities over many years so please don’t worry. However, please bear in mind at during all of my sessions your dog(s) wellbeing is paramount. If your dog is nervous of strangers, new environments or strange sounds I will make time for them to settle before starting the photoshoot.

Here’s a lovely review from a previous client who had concerns about their nervous dogs:

“I would highly recommend David and would definitely use again. He was very calm with my 2x Romanian rescue, Tango and Ray, and made them calm despite them being scared of people!”

What If It Rains On The Day Of The Photoshoot?

If we have rain or bad weather on the day of the photoshoot, I will call you so that we can reschedule and find another date that suits us both.
