Puppy Photo Shoot

Puppies Won’t Stay Little Very Long

If you’re a proud puppy owner or simply a dog lover, capturing those precious moments with your new friend is an absolute must. Not only will you create lasting memories, but you’ll also have stunning photographs to cherish for years to come.

In this introduction, I will explain why you should consider a puppy photo shoot with David Lowerson Photography and why you shouldn’t wait too long to schedule one.

Why should you do a puppy photo shoot?

Capture their cuteness: Puppies grow up so fast! They experience rapid growth and change in their first months, and before you know it, they’ll no longer be that tiny bundle of fur.

A puppy photo shoot allows you to freeze those adorable moments in time, preserving their cuteness forever.

Celebrate their arrival: Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting event. A puppy photo shoot can be a perfect way to commemorate their arrival and mark the beginning of a beautiful journey together.

The images will serve as a reminder of the joy and anticipation you felt when your furry companion became a part of your life.

Bonding experience: A photo shoot is not only about capturing great pictures; it’s also an opportunity for you and your puppy to strengthen your bond.

If you’re a proud puppy owner or simply a dog lover, capturing those precious moments with your furry friend is an absolute must. Not only will you create lasting memories, but you’ll also have stunning photographs to cherish for years to come. In this introduction, we’ll explore why you should consider a puppy photo shoot and why you shouldn’t wait too long to schedule one.

Why should you do a puppy photo shoot in Lincoln?

  1. Capture their cuteness: Puppies grow up so fast! They experience rapid growth and change in their first months, and before you know it, they’ll no longer be that tiny bundle of fur. A puppy photo shoot allows you to freeze those adorable moments in time, preserving their cuteness forever.

  2. Celebrate their arrival: Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting event. A photo shoot can be a perfect way to commemorate their arrival and mark the beginning of a beautiful journey together. The images will serve as a reminder of the joy and anticipation you felt when your furry companion became a part of your life.

  3. Bonding experience: A photo shoot is not only about capturing great pictures; it’s also an opportunity for you and your puppy to strengthen your bond. During the session, you’ll engage in playful activities, shower them with love and treats, and create a positive experience. This shared time will deepen your connection and create lasting memories.

  4. Professional expertise: Hiring a professional photographer who specializes in pet photography ensures that you’ll receive high-quality images that truly capture your puppy’s personality. They have the skills and experience to work with animals, understand their behavior, and bring out their best expressions. A professional photographer will also have access to unique locations and props that can add a special touch to the photos.

Why shouldn’t you leave it too long to do a puppy photo shoot?

  1. Fleeting puppyhood: The charm of puppyhood is fleeting. Their innocent and playful nature is most prominent during their early months. If you wait too long, your puppy will start to mature, and those adorable, mischievous moments will become a distant memory. Scheduling a photo shoot sooner rather than later ensures that you capture the essence of their puppyhood.

  2. Ease of training: Puppies are more adaptable and trainable at a young age. By scheduling a photo shoot early on, you can take advantage of their willingness to learn and cooperate. As they grow older, they might become more independent or easily distracted, making it harder to capture those perfect shots.

  3. Socialization benefits: A puppy photo shoot can also serve as an opportunity for your furry friend to socialize with new people and experience different environments. Early exposure to new situations can help them become well-adjusted adult dogs and reduce any anxiety they may have. The experience of a photo shoot can positively impact their future behavior and interactions.

In conclusion, a puppy photo shoot in Lincoln is a fantastic way to capture the essence of your furry friend’s early days, celebrate their arrival, and create lasting memories. Don’t wait too long to schedule your session; the earlier, the better. The fleeting nature of puppyhood and the ease of training make it an ideal time to capture those priceless moments. So, grab your camera and let’s create some picture-perfect memories with your adorable pup!

Highly recommend. A professional photoshoot that takes you into another world.

David makes the process fun, enjoyable and puts you at ease.

How It Works

1. Start Here

The first step is to contact me by phone or using the booking form below.

I will then send you an email about my dog photography sessions and how to book a shoot with myself. this will be done by a link to my online booking system where you then schedule a date in my diary.

2. The Photoshoot

Photoshoots normally last 60-90 minutes.

I’ll always take into account your dog’s own needs. So if you have a dog that is anxious around strangers, I will spend time simply talking to you and not acknowledge your dog at all, just until your dog gets used to my presence and is settled. Once your dog is happy we will begin the shoot.

3. The Viewing

A week or so after your photoshoot we will schedule a Zoom viewing for you to see the final photographs from your shoot.

Most clients purchase some wall-art whilst other clients purchase a selection of photographic prints or digital files.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clients often have several questions before booking a dog photoshoot to ensure they get the best possible results. In this introduction, I want to share with you the most common questions clients ask me about my dog photoshoots.

Clients may ask about having their dog on a lead, what if it rains on the day of the shoot, what if their dog is nervous, and how to prepare their furry friend for the photoshoot. They may also want to know how the final photos will be delivered.

As a photographer, it’s important to be able to answer these questions and provide guidance to clients to help them feel comfortable and confident in booking me.

Does My Dog Need To Be Off The Lead?

Not if you don’t want them to be, I have editing tools which helps me to remove leads from the picture during the final editing process.

Does My Dog Need To be Trained?

No, please don’t worry if your dog doesn’t have the best recall or attention span. My experience allows me to get the best picture from the most reluctant of dogs, but you will need to bring an adequate lead to prevent them from running off.

I Have 2 Dogs, Can They Both Be In The Photoshoot?

Yes, I have photographed up to 5 dogs in one particular session. However, an extra pair of hands will be needed to ensure your dogs are safe and under control, so please ask someone to attend the photoshoot with you.

My Dog Is Really Nervous In Unfamiliar Surroundings Or New people – Will This Be A Problem For You?

I have photographed dogs with very different personalities over many years so please don’t worry. However, please bear in mind at during all of my sessions your dog(s) wellbeing is paramount. If your dog is nervous of strangers, new environments or strange sounds I will make time for them to settle before starting the photoshoot.

Here’s a lovely review from a previous client who had concerns about their nervous dogs:

“I would highly recommend David and would definitely use again. He was very calm with my 2x Romanian rescue, Tango and Ray, and made them calm despite them being scared of people!”

How Far In Advance Should I Schedule A Session With You?

Sessions should generally be booked at least a month in advance.

During the warmer months, and especially around the summer holidays, you may want to book your session earlier so that we can accommodate the date you want.

However, please contact me in the first instance as I may have a booking cancellation.
