And here’s the best part: it won’t cost you a penny to have your dog photographed with David. We simply ask for a £49 booking fee to secure your spot – that’s it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clients often have several questions before booking a dog photoshoot to ensure they get the best possible results. In this introduction, I want to share with you the most common questions clients ask me about my dog photoshoots.

Clients may ask about having their dog on a lead, what if it rains on the day of the shoot, what if their dog is nervous, and how to prepare their furry friend for the photoshoot. They may also want to know how the final photos will be delivered.

As a photographer, it’s important to be able to answer these questions and provide guidance to clients to help them feel comfortable and confident in booking me.

Can My Dog Stay on the Lead During the Photoshoot?

Absolutely! If you’d prefer to keep your dog on the lead, that’s no problem at all. I use advanced editing techniques to seamlessly remove the lead from the final images, ensuring your dog looks free and natural in the photos.

Does My Dog Need To Be Well-Trained?

Not at all! There’s no need to worry if your dog isn’t a recall expert or has a short attention span. With my experience, I can capture amazing photos even from the most reluctant pups.

Just make sure to bring a suitable lead to keep them safe and prevent any unexpected dashes!

Can I Bring Both of My Dogs to the Photoshoot?

Absolutely! I’ve photographed sessions with as many as five dogs before. If you’re bringing more than one dog, I recommend having an extra pair of hands to help keep them safe and under control.

Feel free to bring a friend or family member along to assist during the session.

Where Will the Dog Photoshoot Take Place?

I often get asked about where my dog photography sessions take place. I’m thrilled to offer you a choice of two beautiful outdoor locations in Lincolnshire that are perfect for capturing your furry friend’s personality and charm!

🌳 Chambers Farm Woods (near Wragby, LN8 5JR)
This stunning woodland area provides a natural, serene backdrop filled with lush greenery, open paths, and the perfect lighting for breathtaking portraits.

🌲 Ostler’s Plantation (near Woodhall Spa, LN10 6YY)
Another fantastic option, this location is ideal for those seeking a more rustic feel, with plenty of natural textures and wide-open spaces to let your dog’s personality shine.

Both locations are dog-friendly and offer a relaxed, fun environment to create lasting memories. Choose the spot that suits you and your dog best, and we’ll take care of the rest!

How Long Do The Sessions Last?

One of the most common questions is: How long does a dog photography session take?

Typically, our sessions don’t last longer than 90 minutes, and many are wrapped up much sooner. That said, it depends on your dog!

Some dogs settle into the new environment and lights effortlessly, while others may need a little more time to adjust. That’s perfectly okay – there’s never any rush. We always go at your dog’s pace to ensure they’re comfortable and happy throughout the process.

Your dog’s wellbeing is our top priority, and we’re here to make the experience fun, relaxed, and enjoyable for both of you.

My Dog Gets Nervous Around Unfamiliar Surroundings Or People. Will This Be An Issue?

Not at all! I have years of experience working with dogs of all temperaments, including those who are nervous or shy. Your dog’s comfort and well-being are always my top priority during every session. If your dog needs extra time to adjust to a new environment or to get used to me, I’m more than happy to give them the space they need to feel at ease.

Here’s a review from a client who had similar concerns:
“I would highly recommend David and would definitely use again. He was very calm with my 2x Romanian rescues, Tango and Ray, and made them calm despite them being scared of people!”

Your dog’s comfort comes first, so you can trust that they’re in safe hands.

When Should I Book My Photography Session?

I recommend scheduling your session at least a month in advance.

During the warmer months or around the summer holidays, it’s a good idea to book even earlier to secure your preferred date.

That said, feel free to reach out anytime – I may have availability due to cancellations!
